QMap
A field data collection program using QGIS
QMap is a field data collection application built using QGIS and it's Python plugin system. It was built to be easy to use on (windows) based tablet devices.
Custom forms are built using Qt Designer and follow a convention based approach in order to save configuration.
QMap was orignally built by Southern Downs Regional Council in order to aid in field data collection and is maintained by Nathan at work and in his spare time.

Loading a project
The user is presented with a simple view of loaded projects. Projects are just noraml QGIS .qgs projects.
Full screen map and large buttons
The large buttons and full screen map aid in usability on a pen or touch based device.
Water maintence job form
Forms are built using Qt Designer and can be as simple or as complex as needed.
Edit tools
Popout edit tools to make tasks like moving or editing attributes easy.
Add at GPS location
A simple push button to add the current feature at the GPS location.

Field based help
Hyperlinked labels on the form allow for easier access to help documents.
Help documents are mapped via the field name. Just drop them in the forms help folder and QMap will auto bind the help.
Remember value between additions
The remember this value button will save the value of the field between form sessions saving on time re-entering common feature values.
